HOW DO I UPDATE TO THE LATEST VERSION?
STEP 1: MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATA FROM THE OLD VERSION.
The new version of the software automatically loads your data the 1st time it is started but it is always a good idea to have a backup of your data just in case. Open the Database Maintenance screen of the old version and Backup your data. We recommend backing up to the hard drive for this updating process, but USB/Flash drives are also a good choice. It is important that you remember the folder the Backup was copied into since you may need to locate it to Restore from it. Do not use CDs.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’ve already installed the new version on your computer you may receive a Registration Error#12 when attempting to open the old version. If this is the case then skip this step, however, do not uninstall or reinstall the old version until your data has been successfully loaded into the new version.
STEP 2: INSTALL THE NEW VERSION.
If the new version is already installed simply skip this step, otherwise install the new version on your computer by either downloading it from the link provided here, or from the CD if you ordered it. When you first install the new version it will be in Free Trial mode.

STEP 3: ENTER THE NEW VERSION’S REGISTRATION NUMBER.
Activate & register the new version by entering the new Registration Number given when purchasing the update into the Order/Register screen of the new version of the software. Your old version’s Registration Number may be displayed, simply replace it with the new number. Be sure to click the ACCEPT REG button when you are done.
If you haven’t already purchased the update, use these links to order it & get your new Registration Number: GroundsKeeper Pro, GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Registration Number given after purchasing the update will only work for the latest version of the software. The new version will get a Registration Error until the new Registration Number has been entered into the Order/Register screen.
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW IF YOU COMPLETED STEP 3 & YOU CONTINUE TO GET A REGISTRATION ERROR AND THE DATA IN THE COMPANY MAINTENANCE SCREEN IS NOT YOURS.
DO YOU HAVE DATA FROM AN OLDER VERSION?
YES: If the data import wasn’t successful or you elected not to automatically import your data, you can open the new version, ignore any registration errors, and Restore your data from a Backup you created using the Database Maintenance screen. If necessary, you may also restore your data from the Adkad Autobackups or the adkad.mdb file in your old versions folder.
NO, I WANT TO START OVER WITH AN EMPTY DATABASE: Open the new version of the software and ignore any Registration Errors. Enter your company information into the Company Maintenance screen.
Activate & register the new version by entering the new Registration Number given when purchasing the update into the Order/Register screen of the new version of the software. IMPORTANT NOTE: To avoid possible problems, if you’re using the software on multiple computers, all computers must be updated to the same version.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The latest version of your software product must be used if the computer the software will be running on is a Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, or Windows 10. Older versions are not compatible with these new operating systems. All versions of our software, new and old, will run on Windows XP machines.
