HOW DO I UPGRADE FROM GROUNDSKEEPER LITE OR BLIZZARD BUSTER TO GROUNDSKEEPER PRO?
So, you’ve been using GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster and now you’re ready to upgrade to GroundsKeeper Pro. By upgrading you will get all the additional features GroundsKeeper Pro offers. Follow the instructions below to install GroundsKeeper Pro and transfer all your data from GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster into GroundsKeeper Pro.
STEP 1:
IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE THE UPGRADE
After you purchase the upgrade you will receive a GroundsKeeper Pro registration number. Your old GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster Registration Number will not work in GroundsKeeper Pro.
STEP 2:
BACKUP YOUR GROUNDSKEEPER LITE OR BLIZZARD BUSTER DATA
Open GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster and use the Database Maintenance screen to make a Backup of your data to your hard drive.
We do recommend backing up to the hard drive for this process, but USB/Flash drives are also a good choice. It is important that you remember the folder the Backup was saved to since you will need to locate it to Restore it into GroundsKeeper Pro. Do not use CDs.
Be sure to close GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster after your backup has been created successfully.
STEP 3:
INSTALL GROUNDSKEEPER PRO
Install the GroundsKeeper Pro software on the computer by either downloading your software products free trial from our website, using the download link from the emailed invoice, or by using the CD that was sent when the software was purchased.The software may be downloaded an unlimited number of times.
The new GroundsKeeper Pro installation will start in free trial mode. The free trial is the full-working and complete version of the software. It just needs your data and a Registration Number to be activated.
STEP 4:
RESTORE YOUR GROUNDSKEEPER LITE OR BLIZZARD BUSTER DATA INTO GROUNDSKEEPER PRO
Open GroundsKeeper Pro and use the Database Maintenance screen to Restore from the backup of your GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster data. You will get a Registration Error since the software is seeing the old software’s registration number. If you get this registration error your data was restored successfully.
STEP 5:
ENTER YOUR GROUNDSKEEPER PRO REGISTRATION NUMBER
Ignore any errors and go into the Order/Register screen and enter your new GroundsKeeper Pro Registration Number.
FINAL STEP:
UNINSTALL GROUNDSKEEPER LITE OR BLIZZARD BUSTER
After you have gone into the new GroundsKeeper Pro program and made sure all of your data transferred correctly, you may uninstall the old GroundsKeeper Lite or Blizzard Buster program. Having both software products installed will not hurt anything but it will take up unnecessary space. Be sure to use Windows Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the old software. When the uninstall program asks if you want to keep shared files, say “yes”.
