INVALID REGISTRATION NUMBER

Issue:

When attempting to enter your registration number into the Order/Register screen you get the error “Invalid Registration Number”.

Possible Reason 1:     
REINSTALLING or UPDATING – WITH DATA
You’re attempting to enter your Registration Number before Restoring your data back in.  Simply use the Database Maintenance screen to Restore your data.  If necessary, enter the Registration Number AFTER restoring your data.

Possible Reason 2:     
REINSTALLING or UPDATING – STARTING OVER
If you have lost your data and you need to start over you will need to first enter your Company Information in the Company Maintenance screen and then enter your registration number. Do not attempt to enter your registration number before your Company Info has been entered. The company information entered must match the registered users information given when the product was registered. Be sure to use the latest registration number you have received from us. Do not use old expired registration numbers.

Possible Reason 3:     
INVALID REGISTRATION NUMBER
The registration number is invalid based upon the installed software version, the company information contained within the Company Maintenance screen and the Registration Number being entered.  The information contained within the Company Maintenance screen does not match what we have on file for the registered user and/or the version of the software that is running is not the one the Registration Number was issued for.

Possible Reason 4:     
REGISTRATION NUMBER IS NOT FOR THE INSTALLED PRODUCT OR VERSION
Check to make sure the registration number your entering is for the version & product you have installed. The registration certificate you received upon purchasing will show the version & product the registration number is for and the ABOUT button from the Main screen of the installed software will tell you the product and version number of the software. They should match.


If you misplaced or lost the email and letter that was sent with the Registration Number, it is possible to get the Registration Number reissued, however, there is a small administrative fee associated with this service.

If you cannot resolve the issue with the information provided then follow the guidance of the software’s registration error troubleshooter.  Note: Older versions of the software do not have the troubleshooter.  We recommend always running the latest version of your software product to take advantage of new features, improvements and bug fixes.
